The latest issue of E-shout, the PSWR Disciples newsletter featured testimonials written by Winnie Kam, Lorna Soong and Alan Feliciano. The subject was : “What Miracle Week Means to Me?”
We would like to extend our deep appreciation to Maile Nicholas for playing the organ and piano for us these past few months. Her willingness to step in after the departure of Mea is greatly appreciated. We wish her well as she pursues a more permanent position. We pray that God will provide us with someone who is willing to play ‘for free,’ until further notice.
In May, the Lunch bunch group went to the Wailana Coffee House. Everyone had a good time. The date of the lunch bunch this month will be on June 13 at the Waioli Tea Room. We would like to remind everyone that it is a no host affair.
CONGRATULATIONS to Corey Thomas, son of our Sunday School teacher, Sabrina, and grandson of Alan Feliciano. Corey graduated from Mililani High School on May 16.
Aubrey Glover, Jade and Dawe’s daughter has one of the lead roles in the play “Guys and Dolls,” which is playing at the Diamond Head Theater until May 30.
Tony Leonida has recovered from his infection, while Joan continues to recover from her fall in the bus. In the meantime, Lorna is recovering from an allergic reaction to, of all things, some medical gel!
Our ‘new and improved’ website continues to be visited. Thanks to our prayer request page, we got ‘re-connected’ with Dave Thompson. He is currently in Bremerton, WA and has asked us to pray for him and for Laura. A big mahalo goes to Tamra for checking out different web hosting companies and for going for it as far as re-doing the site. Lorna assists in keeping the site as current as possible.
We have our 5TH Sunday potluck on May 30 at Kakaako Park at 4:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to bring a dish and a friend. Please call Pastor Jimmy for the exact location.
Virginia Fitzgibbon, a former member of FCC is coming on June 13 to make a presentation to our church.
Alan Pollock and Steve Oliver will be going back to Dallas, Texas at the end of June to help in the care of Alan’s mother. Our prayers are with them as they prepare for this latest change in their lives. We will miss them!
